Pricing

Honest pricing, no surprises.

Nobody likes calling around just to find out what junk removal costs. Below are some common jobs, each with a typical price range based on what junk removal companies around Delaware, Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic charge right now.

These are examples to help you plan. They aren't quotes. Your price depends on what you have, how much there is, and how heavy it is. Send us a few photos and we'll give you a real number. It's free.

How pricing works

We price every job on four things:

  1. How much space it takes up. Most of the price comes from how much of our dump trailer your stuff fills: a single item, a quarter, a half, or a full load. Less space, lower price.
  2. Labor. Includes loading, any disassembly, and how long the job takes. Easy curbside pickups cost less than jobs where we carry everything out of a basement.
  3. Disposal by weight. We pay the dump by the ton. In Delaware the state transfer stations currently charge $80 per ton for trash and construction debris. Heavy materials like concrete, dirt, shingles, tile and plaster weigh a lot more than furniture, so they're priced by weight rather than space.
  4. Access. Stairs, long walks from the truck, tight spaces, or items that need to be taken apart can raise the price. If it's already in the driveway or garage, that helps.

Ways to save: have things in one spot near the driveway, keep yard waste separate from trash, and let us know about heavy materials up front so your quote is accurate.

Example jobs & typical price ranges

An old gray couch left on a grassy curb, waiting for pickup.

1. Single bulky item

Typical range$75 – $175

What's included: Pickup of one large item, like a couch, recliner, mattress set, dresser or treadmill. Includes loading and disposal or donation drop-off.

Good to know: Items already outside or in a garage land at the low end. Upstairs or awkward items push it higher.

An old rusty refrigerator with its door open, sitting outside in a grassy lot.

2. Appliance pickup

Typical range$75 – $200

What's included: Removal of one major appliance, like a washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator or freezer, with proper disposal or recycling.

Good to know: Fridges, freezers, AC units and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant that has to be handled properly, so they usually cost more.

A white pickup truck with its bed piled high with black trash bags.

3. Small load (about a pickup-truck bed)

Typical range$125 – $250

What's included: A few items or a small pile, such as bags, boxes, a chair or two, or leftover moving junk. Roughly a pickup-bed's worth, about 1/8 to 1/4 of a trailer.

Good to know: Great for "a few things the trash company won't take."

A blue recliner, an armchair and wooden furniture pieces piled at the curb.

4. Half trailer load

Typical range$300 – $450

What's included: A room's worth of furniture and household junk, such as a couch, a recliner, a dresser and some boxes. Includes loading, hauling and disposal.

Good to know: Light, bulky items stay near the low end. Heavy items move it toward the top.

A large pile of household junk, including rolled rugs, boards, bags, a folding table and boxes.

5. Full trailer load

Typical range$550 – $800

What's included: A full load of mixed household junk, furniture and boxes, which is common for basement, attic and move-out cleanouts.

Good to know: This range is for normal household junk. Heavy debris like concrete, dirt, shingles or plaster is priced by weight (see Add-ons).

An open storage unit packed with tools, boxes, a hand truck, a smoker grill and a propane tank.

6. Garage or storage unit cleanout

Typical range$250 – $800

What's included: We clear out unwanted items from a garage, shed or storage unit, and haul them away so you get your space back.

Good to know: A one-car garage with a partial load usually falls at the low end. A packed two- or three-car garage falls at the high end or above. Propane tanks, paint and chemicals need special handling, so tell us ahead of time.

A large pile of tied-up trash bags stacked together.

7. Rental trash-out / move-out cleanout

Typical range$300 – $1,200 (apartment to small house)

What's included: Removal of everything left behind by a tenant or after a move, including furniture, bags, boxes and leftover belongings, so the unit is ready to clean and turn over.

Good to know: A studio or one-bedroom usually lands at the lower end. Larger homes, or units that are packed full, can cost more. Landlords and property managers with regular turnovers: tell us about your properties when you reach out.

A weathered, falling-apart wooden shed surrounded by tall grass and trees.

8. Light demo: small shed teardown

Typical range$400 – $1,200 (small shed, no concrete slab)

What's included: We take apart an old wood or metal shed and haul away all the debris. If the shed's contents need to go too, that's quoted separately.

Good to know: Larger sheds, sheds on a concrete slab, and small deck or porch tear-outs are quoted after we see them. For decks and porches, typical market prices range from about $700 to $2,250 depending on size.

A large pile of cut branches and brush in an open field.

9. Yard debris & brush

Typical range$150 – $350 per load

What's included: Loading and hauling of branches, brush, storm cleanup, old fencing or landscaping leftovers.

Good to know: Keep yard waste separate from household trash. Delaware dumps charge a lot more for loads that are mixed.
